Assigning Point Numbers or Remarks from CAD Data

Normally Points are generated from CAD detail to reverse engineer a CAD drawing back into a usable model.  However, sometimes additional information is also available on CAD drawings in the form of Point Numbers, and or Remarks.

To re-attach this info back onto existing points, then additional options are available from the Points - Generate Tab\Menu to help achieve this.

Both Number and Remarks can be reassigned in one of three modes.

• Indicate:
  In this mode, each point needs to be indicated one at a time, then the relevant piece of CAD text.
• By Border:
  In this mode, Points are selected via the Rectangle pick mode.  The closest CAD text is then selected to each point based on its rectangular extents.
• By Origin:
  In this mode, Points are selected via the Rectangle pick mode.  The closest CAD text is then selected to each point based on its Origin.
