The Section option on the menu bar enables you to perform some basic functions on the section preview and the sections that may be saved. When sections are displayed in the preview window, they can be displayed with a vertical exaggeration to make the change in height more visible with flatter sections.
The Section Exaggeration option allows you to change the exaggeration to the vertical scale. You will be asked to enter a new vertical exaggeration in a simple dialog box.
The Section Reverse option enables you to reverse the direction of a section. It has the same effect as looking at the section from the other side. If you are viewing multi-sections, such as cross, radial, river or tunnel sections, you will be asked if you wish to reverse the direction of all the section elements. The preview will update itself to reflect the change. The Section Properties option was described in the previous section.
The four Go To options are available if you have taken multi-sections. They allow you to navigate through the display of the various sections. The First and Last options will take you to the first and last sections respectively. The Previous and Next options allow you to step through the sections one at a time.
If the section that you have calculated is multi-section, for example a series of cross-sections, a drop box in the toolbar will enable you to go directly to a known section. This is particularly useful when handling many cross-sections from an alignment where you can go straight to a section of known chainage.
