The Co-ordinates options allow you to create co-ordinate blocks from existing sections. You will be asked to select the section that you wish to take information from and then enter a name for the co-ordinate block. The default name given is that of the selected section.
The Co-ordinates Cut Lines option will only place the co-ordinates of section cut lines in the block. If you have selected a cross section, you will be asked if you wish to switch the cross section cut lines so that they follow the river section convention. The normal convention for cross sections is that as you move up the centre line, you view the section in the same direction. The convention for river sections is that as you move up the centre line, you view the sections in the opposite direction. The coding that is assigned to the points varies depending on the type of section that has been selected as follows.
Long Sections - Each point on the cut line will be assigned a code of CL.
Feature Sections - Each point on the cut line will have the same code as the feature that was used to create it.
Point Sections - Each point on the cut line will have the code of the point that was indicated when the feature was created.
Cross Sections - There will be a feature code CL which represents the centre line of the sections. Each cut line will then have a code of BL01, BL02, etc.
Radial Sections - There will be a single point with a code of CP representing the centre point of the sections. Each radial cut line will then have a code of RL01, RL02, etc.
River Sections - There will be a feature for each cut line with the code for these features being the name that has been given to each section.
Tunnel Sections - There will be a feature for each cut line with the code for these features being the name that has been given to each section.
The Co-ordinates Profiles option will place the co-ordinates of all the profiles in the selected section into the block. The code of each point on a profile will be the name of the source model. If a code has been assigned to any point in the section, this will be placed in the new point’s number. The name of the section element will be placed into the new point’s remark field.
