The Point 3D option allows you to transform the co-ordinate system of a model in 3 dimensions. You will be asked to indicate the selected points in the normal way, using the mouse cursor or by list, and the dialog box shown below will be displayed.
In the same way as for the multi-point 2D transformation, the list at the top of the dialog shows the selected points with their original and entered co-ordinates. To change the values, highlight the point in the list and enter the new values in the fields to the bottom left of the dialog. Note that this is a 3D transformation and therefore you must enter height values for each point. As you enter the new co-ordinates, the transformation matrix is recalculated and the calculated co-ordinates are displayed next to the entered co-ordinates. The residuals are also displayed for that point together with the standard deviation.
