The List Menu in the graphics view allows you graphical methods of manipulating the Select List. When selected, the menu below will be displayed.
The options to add and remove points work in the same way but have opposite results. If there are no points on the Select List, all the options to remove points will be disabled.
Note that adding or removing a point to or from the Select List can only take place if the point is displayed on an active layer. To signify that a point is on the Select List, a small filled square is displayed underneath the point symbol. If you are viewing using a white background, the blob indicating that a point is selected will be blue. If you are using a black background, the colour used will be yellow.
General Operations
As an aid, the graphic view on the model will display the number of points that have been selected. This is shown in the status bar to the bottom right of the window as shown below.
The List Show option allows you to control whether the Select List is displayed or not. A tick to the left will mean that it is displayed. It is only necessary to turn the list off temporarily if you are printing the current view and do not wish to see the list selection displayed. The List Clear option allows you to remove all points from the Select List. The List Invert option allows you to toggle the selection flag for all the points in a model. All points that were on the Select List will be removed and all points that were not will be added.
The List to Block option allows you to create a new a co-ordinate block using the currently selected points. You will be asked to indicate an origin for the co-ordinates and, if required, an orientation for the new X-axis of the block. Both must be selected points. All the point co-ordinates will have the origin co-ordinates subtracted from them and, if an alignment point was chosen, will be rotated to align to the block X-axis. You will then be asked to enter a new block name and you will see it appear on the project tree. The selected point heights will not change.
