List by Indication
The Add Indicate or Remove Indicate options allow you to add or remove points by simple indication. You will be asked to indicate the points one by one using the mouse cursor.
List by Feature
The Add Feature and Remove Feature options allow you to add or remove points that belong to a given feature. When selected, the pop-up menu shown below will be displayed and there are three options as follows:
Line - This option will ask you to indicate a line feature and all the points that are part of that line feature will be added or removed.
Symbol - This option will ask you to indicate a symbol feature and all the points that are used to construct the symbol will be added or removed. Note that only the points for the indicated symbol will be used, not those used for other symbols on the same feature string.
Shape - This option will ask you to indicate a shape feature and all the points that are used to construct the shape will be added or removed. Note that only the points for the indicated shape will be used, not those used for other shapes on the same feature string.
List by Boundaries
The Add Inside and Add Outside options, together with their Remove equivalents, allow you to add or remove points that are either inside or outside a boundary of some form. When either of these option is selected, a pop-up menu appears asking you to define the type of boundary you wish to use. The pop-up menus are shown below. Each menu has three options as follows:
Boundary - This option will ask you to indicate a bounding line feature and points will be considered if they are inside or outside of it. The points on the feature themselves will not be considered and if the feature is not closed, it will be assumed to be so by creating the closing segment in the calculations
Rectangle - The option will ask you to sketch the opposite corners of a bounding rectangle and points will be considered if they are inside or outside of it.
Polygon - The option will ask you to sketch the apexes of a bounding polygon and points will be considered if they are inside or outside of it. Note that the polygon will be automatically closed so there is no need to close back to the first point.
Note that in the latter two options, you can use the Lock Mode to pick any points in the model to aid in the formation of the boundary.
