The station grid control is accessed by clicking on the Stations folder in the Project Manager. The stations are displayed in the order in which they are encountered in the log file or calculated as part of an adjustment. The second column contains the station Type. These fall into five categories:
-
Known: The coordinates of the station are known. They are included with the observations or they have been manually entered.
-
Unknown: The coordinates of the station are unknown.
-
Derived: The coordinates have been calculated from observations taken from a known station.
-
Adjusted: The coordinates have already been adjusted from a previous traverse calculation.
- Lst Squares: The coordinates have been calculated from the Least Squares adjustment engine.
The Easting, Northing and Height columns then describe the stations' position in 3D space. The final column titled Remarks holds any additional information which is appropriate for the stations.
Two colour codings exist in this grid control. Cells which have pre-defined coordinate data in them, i.e. those which have been calculated or derived in some way are shaded grey. Those stations whose' values are user-editable are shaded in light purple.
Stations can be upgraded to Known so that all their positional information can be edited. This is accomplished by right-clicking on any column and selecting Properties. Then click the Known button on the Co-ordinates tab.
