Sometimes it is useful to be able to trim a point cloud down to just those points which are close to each scan location. In general this helps tidy noise, as accuracy obviously decreases with range. Assuming the scan data came in with scan locations (E57), then setting the render range can be accomplished with these simple steps.
- Assuming the scan has already been imported, open the Display Modifier for the point cloud.
- Set the range in the field provided.
- Press Enter and the display will update.
