Grids are used to graphically indicate the co-ordinate system of a model. The Grid Commit option allows you to create a grid over the current model. You will be asked to sketch a rectangle over which you wish the grid to be created. The Grid Intervals dialog box will then be displayed enabling you to specify the style of the grid you wish to create. Select the OK button and the grid will be created in the dedicated CAD backcloth.
The Grid Partition option allows you to generate a grid inside a partition. A partition is the n4ce way of creating AutoCAD paper spaces in models. To use this option, the partitions need to be turned on, see the Partition Menu. You will be asked to indicate the partition in which the grid is to be generated. The Grid Intervals dialog box will then be displayed enabling you to specify the style of grid you wish to create. Select the OK button and the grid will be created in the dedicated CAD backcloth.
