The Reverse pop-up menu, shown below, gives options that allow you to change the order in which points are used in a feature. The table below shows examples of the various reverse options before and after the options have been used.
The Reverse Segment option will ask you to indicate a line feature segment to reverse. The order of points in the line feature will then be adjusted to suit. For example, if you are using points 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 and you indicate the segment between points 3 and 4, the new feature order will be 1, 2, 4, 3, 5 and 6.
The Reverse Between option allows you to reverse the direction of points between two fixed points. You will be asked to indicate the start and end points of the reverse process. For example, if you are using points 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 and you indicate points 2 and 6, the new order will be 1, 2, 5, 4, 3 and 6.
The Reverse All option allows you to reverse the direction of all the points in a line feature. Indicate the feature and the line will be reversed. If the feature is simply a line, then you may not see much difference. However, if the feature also displays certain types of text, symbol or shape, you may notice a change in the display of these.
