Added in n4ce 4.40 is a new Shape type called 4pt Sphere.
This new shape type can either generate the best fit sphere from sequences of points in blocks of 4, or if the option to Commit as 1-Point Circle is enabled, when a model is formed, and the Commit 1pt Circles option is also enabled. Then the 4 points are swapped for a single one, with the derived Radius and Diameter added as single points. This mode is usually for establishing the centres of scan targets.
It's usually a good idea to leave the Commit option enabled in the Code Table, then just enable the Commit option when generating the model as and when it's preferred.
If the commit option is NOT enabled when the Model is generated, n4ce will draw a circle representing the sphere through the points as a normal circular shape type would do.
Otherwise, if the Commit option IS enabled, then n4ce will remove the 4 points per sphere, and replace them with one point at the centre of the calculated sphere, together with the Diameter and Radius attributes. When viewed graphically the circle will still be drawn, but obviously without the presence of the original 4 points that derived the sphere.
