Coordinate Reduction, Adjustment and Transformations

Spatial data is displayed in n4ce in terms of XYZ coordinates, with attributes. To convert from one coordinate system to another, for example you may have used a local system based on 1000,1000,100 with a random bearing and wish to convert this to an Ordnance Survey projection system to tie in with other special data. Total stations measure angles and distances which need to be converted into XYZ coordinates. This process is called reduction. GNSS (GPS) data is initially recorded in Latitude and Longitude form and converted into XYZ coordinates during export from the instrument. When carrying out total station surveys, control (stations) are used to locate positions. Various techniques are available for adjusting these control measurements during adjustment procedures. n4ce supports free station, traverse and least squares network adjustment.

  • Reduction, Free Station and Traverse Adjustment
  • 2D & 3D Transformations and Elevations
  • Least Squares Network Adjustment
