If the Licensing service is not installed correctly, the following step-by-step guide will repair the service, addressing the majority of the issues involved.
- In the search bar at the bottom of your desktop, select the "Search" bar and type in the box "Command Prompt". Right-click on Command Prompt and select "Run as Administrator"
- In the command line, type: cd "C:\Program Files\Applications in Cadd\n4ce 4.40\Program\Licence Manager" which will bring up the License Manager folder
- You will then type in: haspdinst.exe -r -kp and press enter to remove and kill the process
- This command will prompt a User Access Control dialog box to open, where you will need to select 'YES' to proceed with the removal of the Sentinel LDK License Manager. Once it's removed and killed the process completely, a dialog box will appear saying 'Operation Successfully Completed'
The following video runs through the above process visually: - The next command will be entering: haspdinst.exe -i to install the Sentinel services again
- This command will once again prompt a User Access Control dialog box to open, where you will need to select 'YES' to proceed with the installation of the Sentinel LDK License Manager. Once it's installed correctly, a dialog box will appear saying 'Operation Successfully Completed'

If the Licensing service is not correctly installed, there is an alternative way of overcoming the issue by following this step-by-step guide:
1. Go to the License Manager folder. C Drive > Program Files > Application In Cadd > n4ce 4.20 > Program > License Manager.
2. Next, click on File > Open Windows PowerShell. A blue PowerShell Window should appear.
3. Now type (haspdinst) and then press TAB (.\haspdinst.exe). After this, you can use the commands from the previous file to choose the process.
4. The most common command that will be used to clear a user's PC for a fresh install will be
.\haspdinst.exe -r -kp to remove and kill the process.
.\haspdinst.exe -i to install the service again.
