Lines will be generated honouring the current Layer, Colour, Style and Lock settings.
- Create Single Segment - Creates a new single segment line between two indicated locations.
- Create Multi-Segment - Creates a multi segment "Polyline" between a series of indicated locations. Right click will cancel the process.
- Create Polygon - Works much the same as for a multi segments polyline, with the exception that on cancelling the tool, the polyline will be automatically closed to form a continuous polygon.
- Create Double - Generates two polylines at given left and right offset from a temporary sketched polyline.
- Best Fit - Generates a best fit single line segment through a series of indicated locations.
- Modify Explode - Fragments a multi segment line into a series of single lines.
- Modify Close - Joins the first and last points of a polyline to form a polygon.
- Modify Break - Deletes an indicated segment from a polyline or polygon to leave two separate polylines or lines depending on the indicated segment.
- Modify Join - Having indicated the ends of two separate lines or polylines, joins them together to form a single polyline.
- Modify Reverse - Reverses the order of the nodes along the polyline. Normally this is only used on lines with directional line styles.
- Modify Trace - Converts a series of overlapping single segment lines into a continuous polyline. The single line segments must first be added to the CAD list, and the selection mode changed to List before the Trace function will work.
- Backcloth Copy - Copies an indicated polyline from a backclothed CAD model into the current one.
- Apex Insert - Having selected the appropriate segment of a line or polyline, this tool adds a new apex into it at an indicated location.
- Apex Append - Having indicated the end of an appropriate line or polyline, this tool adds a new apex onto the end at an indicated location. If "Shift" is held then the angle of the line will move in 45 degrees indicated by the direction of the previous line.
- Apex Move - Moves a selected Vertex to a newly indicated location.
- Apex Delete - Removes a selected vertex from a polyline.
- Apex Show - Highlights the locations of all the nodes on a selected polyline.
- Parallel Segment Sketched - Creates a parallel copy of a selected line segment, at a manually indicated location from the source segment.
- Parallel Segment Single - Creates a parallel copy of a selected line segment, at a specified distance from the source segment. The side of the line is then indicated by the user.
- Parallel Segment Multi - Generates multiple parallels, at varying offsets, between specified nodes on a given polyline.
- Parallel All Sketched - Creates a parallel copy of an entire polyline at a manually indicated location from the original.
- Parallel All Single - Creates a parallel copy of an entire polyline at a specified offset from the original. The side is then indicated by the user.
- Parallel All Multi - Generates multiple parallels, at varying offsets, from a selected polyline.
- Gap Segment - Hides an indicated segment on a polyline, but does not brake the polyline into two lines.
- Gap Hole - Creates a hole in an indicated segment. Having indicated the segment, then indicate the start and end of the new hole. Take note that the current lock mode does not accidently interfere with the location of the hole.
- Gap Retain - Changes the LINE STYLE of the hole, rather than hiding it. Prior to using this tool, the Current Linestyle must be set accordingly. Having specified segment, start and end of the gap, the linestyle will changed to the current setting rather than hidden.
- Gap Break - Rather than hiding the segment between specified start and end points, the polyline will be broken into two seperate objects.
- Gap Remove - Unhides an indicated but previously gapped segment in a polyline.
- Extend End Point - Freely moves the indicated end of a line or polyline, along the bearing of the line segment until it is repositioned by the user.
- Extend to Segment - Extends the indicated end of a line or polyline until it meets a selected line segment.
- Extend to Reference - Extends the indicated end of a line or polyline until it meets a selected object such as an arc or circle.
- Extend by Distance - Extends the indicated end of a line or polyline by a set distance.
- Extend to Length - Extends the indicated end of a line or polyline to a specified overall length.
- Extend and Merge - Extends the indicated ends of two lines or polylines until they meet.
- Multi Extend to Segment - Having first selected a reference line segment, indicated lines or polylines will be extended until they meet the theoretical intersection, even where the reference line does not extend that far.
- Multi Extend to Reference - Having first selected a reference object such as an arc or circle, indicated lines or polylines will be extended until they meet the theoretical intersection.
- Extend Perpendicular End Point - Extends the indicated end of a selected line or polyline, perpendicular to the end segment of the line.
- Extend Perpendicular to Segment - Extends the indicated end of a selected line or polyline, perpendicular to the end segment until it meets an indicated line segment.
- Extend Perpendicular to Reference - Extends the indicated end of a selected line or polyline, perpendicular to the end segment until it meets an indicated object.
- Extend Perpendicular by Distance - Extends the indicated end of a selected line or polyline, perpendicular to the end segment, by a specified distance.
- Extend and Project to Segment - Extends the indicated end of a selected line or polyline to an indicated line segment, but perpendicular to the indicated line segment, not to the end of the starting line.
- Extend and Project to Reference - Extends the indicated end of a selected line or polyline to an indicated line segment, but perpendicular or tangent to the indicated object, not to the end of the starting line.
- Segment Offset Indicate - Inserts a box out at an indicated segment. The size and direction of the offset are indicated manually by clicking on screen.
- Segment Offset Typed- Inserts a box out at an indicated segment. The size of the offset is controlled via in input box, but the direction indicated afterwards with the mouse.
- Corner Insert - Inserts a missing corner point by projecting a segment back until it is perpendicular with the one before or after it. Having selected the segment to use as the guide, select the segment before or after it to insert the corner.
- Corner Merge Fillet - Extends the segment before and after a selected segment until they meet.
- Make Perpendicular - Having indicated a line segment to use as a guide, select the segment before or after to make them perpendicular to the guide segment.
- Make Parallel - Having indicated a line segment to use as a guide, select any segment on any line to make them parallel to the guide segment.
- Single Project - Projects an indicated single line segment perpendicular into a larger line segment. The smaller segment is then inserted into the target segment making them one continuous polyline.
- Curve Segment - Inserts curving attributes into the nodes at either end of an indicated segment. Two adjacent segments must be curved on a polyline, i.e. three points together are necessary before any curving will be seen.
- Curve Between - Inserts curve fitting attributes between indicated nodes on a polyline.
- Curve All - Curve fits a whole polyline.
- Node Tangent - Inserts a Tangent attribute at an indicated node. Curves starting this point will be tangential to the prior segment. Curves finishing at this point will do so tangential to the next segment.
- Node Discontinuity - Inserts a Discontinuity attribute at an indicated node. Curves starting or finishing at this point will not curve fit thought it.
- Straight All - Removes all curve fitting from the polyline and reverts all segments back to being straight.
- ZigZag Reverse - Splits a polyline with nodes inserted at locations running across a series of linear features in a square wave pattern, into multiple polylines with each polyline then representing its own detail.
- ZigZag Sequence - Splits a polyline with nodes inserted at locations running across a series of linear features in a saw tooth pattern, into multiple polylines with each polyline then representing its own detail.
